I would think that this design would be one of the ones that would benefit from having the picture on the back and the words on the front, instead of all together.

I think with this design you might have the same difficulty as you do with Flake. People might not be interested in the design as a t-shirt, since it's a self-depreciating sort of badge, but other accessories might work out.
